Ground and grass reinforcement in landscaping and civil engineering

Laying TERRA-GRID E® 35 in gardening, landscaping and civil engineering

Laying with and without substructure - step by step guide

Variant 1: Laying with substructure without geotextile

Create ballast base layer

Create a 15-20 cm high gravel base layer (grain size 0-32 cm) directly on the topsoil. In the case of soils with poor bearing capacity, reinforce the base layer with 15-20 cm to 30-40 cm.

Chippings levelling and connecting ground grids TERRA GRID E 35

If necessary, apply 2-3 cm of chipping levelling (grain size 2-5 mm).

Insert the slabs with the closed side face down and snap them into place by using your foot on the existing layer

Backfilling ground reinforcement with sand or gravel

Cover the entire surface area with approx. 2-4 cm with coarse sand or gravel.

The floor is now stable and ready.

Variant 2: Laying with substructure with geotextile

Geotextile Rogeo 200 under the base layer

Apply a layer of geotextile (fleece Rogeo 200) on the existing soil. At the same time, increase the load-bearing capacity on the poorly load-bearing soils without using additional base layers.

Apply a 10-15 cm high gravel base layer (grain size 0-32 cm).

Installing TERRA GRID E 35 ground grid in landscaping

Make 2-3 cm of chippings levelling (grain size 2-5 mm) and lay TERRA-GRID E® 35 on top with the closed side face down. Insert each slab by using your foot to snap them into the existing layer.
